Journal "Musician"

Journal "Musician" is the english version of russian-language magazine “Musician-Classic” which has been published monthly since 2001. In connection with the growth of circulation that now is more than 999 copies the edition has passed the state registration since 9 January, 2004 and received a certificate № 77-17193. The edition has subscribers in many regions of the Russian Federation.

Since 2004 the journal materials have been also presented in the publication "Music: Bibl. Informatsion/Rus. State Library SIC Informkultura", produced jointly by the Russian State Library and the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Taneyev Library). The journal always publishes works of the Moscow Conservatory’s professors that indicates the high quality of the journal’s materials.

Since 2005 the publication has been permanently included in the catalog "Russian Press". For the purpose of publishing the English version of the edition and distributing it abroad Publishing House “Musician Classic” (MCL publishing house s.r.o.) was created in the Slovak Republic and the edition "Musician" was registered in 2010.

Moscow, St. Petersburg Conservatories and many regional universities and music schools take out a subscription for the journal “Musician-Classic”.

The journal publishes information on music competitions and festivals, gives much attention to music schools. The journal has a unique photo archive, reflecting the musical life since the early 1970s. Articles on the history of music take an important place in the list of published materials.

Depending on season, circulation of the edition varies from 1500 to 2000 copies, part of which is distributed by subscription.
